    Safety Comes Standard

    Safety First

Our man lifts are equipped with essential safety features, meeting Tier One safety standards. These include anti-slip platforms, guard rails, and emergency stop buttons. At AusDirect Hire and Sales, your safety is our top priority. When using a manlift, it’s crucial to consider the ground conditions where the equipment will be operating.

    Reliable Onsite Servicing

    Fully serviced

Your new machine will require regular scheduled maintenance in the form of 90-day inspections, annual inspections, and engine services (if on a diesel unit). We offer a maintenance program at additional cost to take the stress of this away from you. Our fully stocked fleet of service vehicles can come to site to perform any maintenance or repairs needed.

    Compliance Made Simple

    Operating Requirements

A certificate of competency is required to operate man lifts. For lifts under 11 meters, a Yellow Card is needed, while a high-risk work license is required for lifts over 11 meters. A harness is not necessary for operation, but we can supply one at an additional cost if desired.

    Transport Made Easy

    Transport

We have our own in-house fleet of trucks to transport your machine to wherever it needs to go. Simply give our team details of where and when you would like your machine delivered and they can provide a transport quote based on weight and distance.

    Ready When You Are

    Availability and ordering

Most of our machines for sale are readily available, however, some may have a lead time and if you have any special requirements, a build time for this. Please contact our friendly team for availability information. When ordering your machine our team can guide you through this process, just get in touch with any questions and we can lay out the options available to you.

    What is a Man Lift

A manlift is an aerial work platform designed to carry a single person vertically for tasks such as maintenance, installation, or inspection at height. Unlike a scissor lift, a manlift uses a telescoping vertical mast mechanism. This design makes it lighter, more compact, and easier to manoeuvre in tight indoor spaces. Manlifts are commonly used in warehouses, retail stores, and facility maintenance—ideal where space is limited and only one worker needs to be elevated.

Where is a Man Lift used?

A manlift is commonly used in places where a single worker needs to access overhead areas safely and efficiently, especially indoors or in tight spaces. They’re ideal when you need height access without the bulk of a scissor lift or the reach of a boom. Typical locations include:

Warehouses – for accessing high shelves or lighting.

Retail stores – for changing signs, lighting, or décor.

Office buildings – for maintenance like ceiling repairs or HVAC access.

Theaters and auditoriums – to reach lighting rigs or sound equipment.

Factories – for inspecting or servicing machinery at height.

Airports – for terminal maintenance or working on jet bridges.
